In this pit stop, players will look at a series of additional statements that may make them think differently about the claim. They will decide whether each statement makes a rebuttal, presents a counterargument, or poses a new question.
Students are not judged right or wrong about whether they would reconsider the claim. This is entirely up to them. Their responses are recorded, however, and can be used for discussion later. Some students may realize that their responses don’t affect the race and will answer without considering.
Once they have responded to three statements, they will return to the game and race to the final pit stop.
